December 24, 2008 β Richard A. Perry, 36, died at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Perry was born October 2, 1972 in Salem, a son of Jeffrey A. and Diana M. Ayers Perry. Richard had lived in Alliance for the past ten years coming from Leetonia. He was a salesman and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia.
Rick was a wonderful father and husband, who did everything he could to take care of his family because they were the most important thing to him. He was very close with his father, mother and brother. He loved watching sports, especially wrestling. His favorite wrestler was Triple H. He will be remembered as a terrific father, who had two great girls that worshiped him, and as a wonderful husband who was always making his wife happy. Rick we love you and you will be missed.
Rick left may people behind who love him so much including his wife, the former, Erin E. Schmachtenberger, whom he married January 22, 2003; two daughters, Stefanie and Kyrstin Perry of the home; a brother, Damian (Nikki) Perry of Salem; his mother, Diana Ayers of Alliance; father and step mother, Jeffrey (Deborah) Perry of Salem; maternal grandmother, Carol (Bill) Redd of Leetonia; paternal grandmother, Becky Perry of Leetonia; and his mother and father-in-law, Robin and William Scalero of Alliance.
